BIO

Prof. da Cruz joined Armstrong Atlantic State University as a faculty member for the Criminal Justice, Social & Political Science Department in August, 2003. Prior to teaching for AASU, she was employed in both the academia and the legal profession. Prof. da Cruz served on the faculty of Ozarks Technical Community College in Springfield, Missouri for six years and taught for Edison Community College in Piqua, Ohio. She was also an associate attorney for O’Loughlin & Gudorf law firm in Dayton, Ohio; a night court hearing officer and weekend intake review for the City of Dayton Prosecutor’s Office; a law clerk for Stephen E. Klein Law Office in Vandalia, Ohio and the Piqua City Prosecutor’s Office in Piqua, Ohio; and a senior legal researcher for Lexis-Nexis. Prof. da Cruz holds a B.A. in Political Science from Wright State University, a J.D. from the University of Dayton, and expects to receive her Ph.D. in Criminal Justice from Capella University in December, 2008.

PHI ALPHA DELTA

Students from every major are invited to join Phi Alpha Deltal Pre-Law Fraternity, International, Armstrong Atlantic State University Chapter. Phi Alpa Delta Pre-Law Fraternity is a co-ed, professional organization to develop students professionally for the workforce or graduate school after matriculation. Since Phi Alpha Delta is not a "social" fraternity, students are able to join both Phi Alpha Delta and pledge for another "social" fraternity on campus.

If you are a student in good standing at Armstrong Atlantic State University, you are eligible for membership in Phi Alpha Delta. You can either JOIN ONLINE or download a membership application Pre-Law Membership Application. Once you fill out your application, please give it to Prof. da Cruz or one of the officers. Once your application is process by the Executive Office, you will be inducted into the organization and be welcomed as an active member of the professional association.
